ept – RoHS & REACH compliant

RoHS 2011/65/EU
RoHS (Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances) is the directive for restricting the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.
We confirm that our products are RoHS 2011/65/EU compliant according to the RoHS confirmation (see download) and that the following materials are not contained in our products in concentrations above the ones stipulated.
- Lead (Pb)
- Mercury (Hg)
- Cadmium (Cd)
- Hexavalent chrome (Cr VI)
- Polybromated biphenyl (PBB)
- Polybromated diphenylether (PentaBDE, octaBDE; decaBDE)
- Perfluorooctane sulfonates (PFOS)
ept has considered the environmental compatibility of its newly developed products for a long time now. In order to comply with the European Directive mentioned above, RoHS compliant components were used for our products already in 2004. However, during this conversion quality assurance has always been top priority; no concessions have been made regarding the functionality and design of our press-fit technology. Lead-free connectors are up to 100 % compatible and can be press-fit into "leaded" printed circuit boards without any problem.
In the future ept will continue to adapt its product development to the latest directives and consider environment protection aspects.
REACH regulation (EG Nr. 1907/2006)
ept does adhere to the December 18, 2006 European Commission (EC) regulation 1907/2006 (REACH).
The products ept purchases from its suppliers and uses in the production processes do not contain materials from the December 19, 2012 SVHC list (substances of very high concern) in a concentration of more than 0.1% mass.
